What’s the cost, and do I need to be a student first?
There’s no cost to get started (or ever, really)—it’s just a matter of investing your time and energy. We even provide you with sales materials, social media post templates, and a suggested strategy. The heavy lifting has been done for you, and you don’t have to create a product yourself.
And you don’t need to be a student – this program is open to anyone who wants to build a side income stream.
What do I have to do, exactly?
Your job is to help spread the word about A Life After Layoff’s courses and products. (Note: private coaching isn’t included in the affiliate program.)
Tell your friends, family, co-workers, and classmates—anyone who may be interested in furthering their career. You may even wish to market it to people online.
Some of our affiliates have found it very lucrative to post regularly on social media, such as Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, and Reddit. Whichever way you choose to promote it, it’s your call. The more you scale, the easier it gets, and the more money you can earn.
How do I get credit for a sale?
When you join, you’ll receive a custom hyperlink to our school that’s tied to your account. You’ll earn a commission when you share this link and someone buys a course. Your link “follows” the person for 90 days, meaning if they aren’t ready to purchase today but come back in 2 months, you still get the commission.
How does the billing process work?
You’ll be paid via PayPal, which Teachable (our course provider) will handle. They’ll handle all the logistics regarding payment, so if you have any specific questions, you can contact them through your affiliate dashboard.
What is the process for managing guest invites?
We provide you with links, and you can also create custom links to individual products (or courses) and share them. The person who clicks on the link will then be “tied” to your account, and you’ll get credit for any sales you make.
How much can I actually earn?
Obviously, this depends on how much effort you put into it. The commission is set at 15%, and the sales are “high ticket,” meaning you’ll earn more per sale than with other products.
For example, if someone buys Resume Rocketfuel using your affiliate link, you stand to earn approximately $40. Sell one per hour (8 hours per day), and you’ll earn $83,000 annually! It beats flipping burgers!
The best thing is that there’s no cap on your earning potential.
